Photos should be taken of balconies and put up on a big billboard with the owner's name under each one.

DK Condo sucks! A pack of incompetent bullies, not only here but at their other properties!

Check out all the one star reviews for draper & Kramer on yelp! check the glassdoor reviews where employees say company will do ANYTHING to keep a contract! Ethics, schmethics!

But we'll renew for a fat sum and give them automatic undeserved raises! It's a clean slate!

DK Condo might have some problems but you have a lot more. What is the matter with you? Did DK Condo fire you from a job? Angry people are unhappy in their lives. I will pray for you.

Did anyone write letters about balconies to the board? Complaining here won't do it.

Who is the engineer that is assessing the balconies, as stated on the recent memo from management?

Anonymous said...

Wiss Janney Elstner & Assoc is the engineering firm assessing the balconies

I see there is a notice from the office posted on the bulletin boards about residents removing trash and other in appropriate items from their balconies. Good! And if they don't - a fine may be levied.

Does anyone know who installs a tankless water heater and what it costs? Nobody is listed on the preferred contractor list and this will be necessary once the city starts charging for water usage. Thanks!

Tankless hot water tanks have been looked at for use int he building and apparently our electric service does not have enough amps to power an electric one. Therefore they are not approved for use in our building.

And the city has always charged us for water - and it keeps going up.

5:54, I thought the same thing, the city has always charged for water. We play for it in our assessments.

So whats going on with the balcony repair? Are there any units that have been tagged for repair? and whats going on with the outdoor carpet testing that the building asked for volunteers? I volunteered mine but I never heard anything back.

How good is the view of the navy pier fireworks from our roof?
I remember the grant park fireworks were mostly blocked by the surrounding buildings.

Well as summer comes creeping up to a close I had to endure yet another summer looking at the trash on all of my neighbors balconies. There's still the good ol' recliner, along with its trusty heap of trash bags they use for a coffee table. Then there's the balcony that is covered in plants from head to toe(I'm sure the birds love this oasis in the sky and the neighbors below get to enjoy the constant stench of bird poop on their railing). But don't forget about my favorite to look at with the old closet doors, microwave, assorted plates and dishes, broken dining chairs - Man I sure would like to go to a dinner party there.

Lets get real here people, do you think the city wants to give Landmark Status to a building known for its residents, Yes, you the residents, having trashy balconies and not taking care of their homes out door spaces. You are plain right lucky that you have a such nice outdoor space!! Treat it right, clean it up. If you can't do it yourself, call maintenance and they can take care of it for you!!! Thats why we live in a building that has a full maintenance staff, to MANAGE the building.

Another thing, if you think the building management has done anything to clean up balconies, show us the proof!

Well, I got a letter from the manage office about my balcony, just about 2 weeks ago! It seems one of my neighbors, didn't like what they saw! I don't use my balcony, so I was keeping several of those plastic storage containers on my balcony. I thought "why not?" I found out the balcony doesn't belong to me, it's owned by the assoc, and if I didn't clean it up and remove the storage boxes, I'd be fined. Thank you very much nosey neighbor! I'll be turning you in real soon!
